UK & Destination Wedding Filmmaker

I'm JAKE BURGESS

A luxury wedding videographer based in Oxfordshire, specialising in editorial, documentary-style wedding films across the UK and Europe. I work with couples planning elegant celebrations and destination weddings in locations including the Cotswolds, Italy, France and Switzerland.

My work focuses on capturing weddings with a refined, cinematic sensibility while preserving the authenticity and atmosphere that make each celebration unique.

My philosophy

A DOCUMENTARY APPROACH TO ELEGANT,
STORY-RICH CELEBRATIONS

What draws me most to weddings are the moments where real personalities come to the surface, the laughter between friends, the quiet emotion of the ceremony, and the genuine joy that carries through the celebration. Couples often tell me they hardly noticed the camera at all, which is exactly how I like to work. By staying calm, observant and unobtrusive, I’m able to anticipate moments as they happen, capturing them without ever interrupting the natural rhythm of the day.

Filming weddings across the UK and Europe is a privilege I never take lightly. Being welcomed into such a meaningful day allows me to create something far more than a record of events. My aim is that every moment you see in your film carries a real memory attached to it, something you truly lived rather than something staged for the camera. Over time, these films become heirlooms, allowing couples to return to the emotion, atmosphere and people who made the day so special.

A few things about me

Millie and I on our wedding day in the Scottish countryside

Home for us is a cottage in the Oxfordshire countryside where life revolves around family, long walks with our dog and spending as much time outdoors as possible. It’s a peaceful place to return to after filming weddings across the UK and Europe.

I’ve always been drawn to beautiful places and thoughtful design, which is part of what first led me to wedding filmmaking. From English country estates to Italian villas and alpine celebrations in Switzerland, each location brings its own atmosphere and character to a wedding film.

Outside of weddings, I work on commercial film projects for brands such as Daylesford Organic. Working in these environments continues to influence the editorial eye and attention to detail that shapes my approach to wedding filmmaking.

More than anything, I’ve always been someone who quietly observes the world around me. Noticing the small details, interactions and moments that often pass unnoticed. It’s those moments that naturally shape the way I film.
