How it works

1. Connect & Discover

Every wedding begins with a conversation. Once you enquire, you'll receive my full pricing brochure and we’ll arrange a call to talk about your plans, the atmosphere you’re creating and the story behind your celebration.

I film weddings across the UK and Europe, so this first conversation helps me understand the setting, the people and the moments that will shape your film.

2. Plan & Prepare

In the months leading up to the wedding, I work closely with you and/or your planner to understand the flow of the day.

You’ll receive a detailed questionnaire so I can learn about the key people, important moments and timings. This allows me to approach the day with a calm, unobtrusive presence while ensuring nothing meaningful is missed.

Whether it's a country house wedding in the Cotswolds or a destination wedding in Europe, thoughtful preparation ensures the filming feels seamless and natural.

3. Capture & Deliver

On the wedding day itself, my role is simply to observe and quietly document the day as it naturally unfolds, allowing you and your guests to remain fully present. Weddings carry a unique rhythm, moving between joy, anticipation, emotion and celebration, and it’s this range of moments that gives a film its depth and honesty.

After the celebration, I carefully craft your footage into an authentic wedding film that reflects not only how the day looked, but how it truly felt.

A thoughtful approach from planning to final film

I believe the best wedding films come from understanding the story behind the celebration. By working closely with couples and planners throughout the process, I’m able to capture weddings in a way that feels natural, considered and timeless.

Do you travel for destination weddings?

Yes, I regularly film weddings across the UK and Europe. While I’m based in Oxfordshire, many of the weddings I capture take place further afield, from elegant country house celebrations in the Cotswolds to destination weddings in Italy, France and Switzerland.

If travel exceeds two hours from Oxfordshire, I usually require accommodation the night before and occasionally the night after the wedding. For destination weddings abroad, I typically ask that flights, accommodation and transfers are covered.

How far in advance should we book a wedding videographer?

Most couples book their wedding videographer between 9–18 months in advance, particularly for popular summer dates.

Because I film a limited number of weddings each year to maintain a high level of attention to every film, dates can fill quickly. If my work resonates with you, it’s always best to enquire as early as possible to check availability.

How do we book you for our wedding?

To secure your date, two things are required:

• completion of an online booking proposal

• payment of a booking fee

Once both are received, your date is officially reserved in my calendar. The remaining balance is invoiced closer to the wedding, typically 30 days before the day itself.

How long should a wedding film be?

The exact length is always guided by the story of the day. My aim is never to stretch a film to meet a minimum length, nor cut a story short. In my experience, an 8-15min film length captures the atmosphere, emotion and key moments beautifully while remaining engaging to watch for years to come.

Can we choose the music for our wedding film?

I’m always happy to hear your ideas and musical preferences. However, music used in wedding films must be properly licensed.

During the editing process I carefully select music that reflects the atmosphere and emotion of your day. It’s a key part of storytelling, helping shape the tone and rhythm of the film.

How do you record ceremony and speech audio?

Clear audio is incredibly important for wedding films. During ceremonies and speeches I place small audio recorders on key speakers such as the officiant and those giving speeches.

These are supported by additional backup recorders and, where possible, feeds from venue sound systems. This ensures vows, readings and speeches are captured clearly and safely.

Do you use drones in your wedding films?

Yes. I’m a licensed drone operator with an A2 CofC drone licence, and aerial footage is included where possible.

Drone shots can add beautiful context to a film, particularly for country house estates, coastal venues and destination locations. Of course, this is always dependent on venue permissions, local regulations and weather conditions on the day.

How do you keep our wedding footage safe?

I use multiple layers of backup throughout the filming and editing process.

All cameras record to dual memory cards, meaning footage is instantly duplicated while filming. Immediately after the wedding, everything is backed up to secure storage drives and then again to additional backup drives and cloud storage. This ensures your wedding film is safely protected at every stage.
